Children’s Choir Spring Musical Rehearsals: Oh Jonah!

Children’s Choir Spring Musical Rehearsals: Oh Jonah!

Bay Shore Children’s Choir begins Sunday, January 21st

Calling all children…It’s time for another season of our Bay Shore Children’s Choir and you are invited to join us!  Beginning Sunday, January 21st after church from 10:45 am – 12 noon in the Youth Chapel, we’ll gather each Sunday for fun and a sense of accomplishment preparing songs and singing them in not only our worship service, but in our fully staged and costumed spring musical.  We have so much fun singing together, learning our speaking parts, learning our staging and choreography, wearing our costumes, and working together towards a goal.

During our worship service on Sunday, May 19th our children’s choir will present our fully staged and costumed musical Oh, Jonah! , a retelling of the well-known story of Jonah and the whale.  Our children, through songs, instruments and dance will share this story that’s much more than just a whale of a tale.  It’s a story about responsibility, repentance, and listening for the word of God in our lives.

We welcome to our choir all those ages 5 through 13 who have participated with us before and all who would like to try us for the first time.  Do you have a child who is just now old enough to participate?  How about a child who would like to sing with us for the first time?  Do your children have any friends from school that they would like to invite to participate? Tell them about it and encourage them to come to our first rehearsal and try us out!

Our congregation has seen what a profound message the children can bring to the worship service, and the more children we have, the better we can be!  Please contact Director of Music Julie Ramsey for more information at  Hope to see you there, and bring a friend!
