Fall Book Study – Begins Tuesday, September 12 at 6:30 PM
Join Pastor Susie for an eight-week study on the new book, Faith After Doubt: Why Your Beliefs Stopped Working and What To Do About It by Brian D. McLaren, an author, speaker, activist, and public theologian.
About the book: “Using his own story and the stories of a diverse group of struggling believers, Brian D. McLaren, a former pastor and now an author, speaker, and activist shows how old assumptions are being challenged in nearly every area of human life, not just theology and spirituality. He proposes a four-stage model of faith development in which questions and doubt are not the enemy of faith, but rather a portal to a more mature and fruitful kind of faith. The four stages—Simplicity, Complexity, Perplexity, and Harmony—offer a path forward that can help sincere and thoughtful people leave behind unnecessary baggage and intensify their commitment to what matters most.”
Please RSVP to email@example.com or sign up in the Fellowship Hall on Sunday. If you’d like Pastor Susie to order a book for you, please note that. Otherwise, you may purchase your own copy.
All Tuesday evening sessions will meet in Gabrielson Chapel (and on Zoom) at 6:30 PM. Class will not meet on September 26 or October 24, due to the Board of Stewards meetings, or October 31, due to Halloween. CLICK HERE for the class schedule.
