Community Cares Volunteer Fair
Bay Shore Church hosted the Community Cares Volunteer Resource Fair on Sunday, June 7, 2026. Organizations from our Long Beach community, and beyond, were be on hand to provide information and resources to those who may be interested in giving back and volunteering. We had organizations representing areas such as pet rescues, literacy, unhoused individuals, mutual aid, childhood development, grief support, and many more. This event was timed with the beginning of summer and the end of the school year to give people of all ages an opportunity to give back. Our hope is this event will showcase the unique opportunities for volunteerism and inspire members of all ages to give back to their communities.

FOOD DRIVE
We’ll be collecting items for the Long Beach Food Coalition at the Volunteer Fair. LBFC is an amazing organization that uses our kitchen weekly to help feed the community members. Their current list of needs are:
- sugar (white and brown)
- Flour
- Rice
- Noodles
- Spices: Salt, Pepper, Adobo seasoning, Garlic Powder, Onion Powder, Italian seasoning… anything really.
- Chicken broth or Chicken base
- Vanilla extract
- Cake mixes w/ frosting
- Muffin mixes
- Canned corn
- Canned peas
- Cream-based soups: Cream of celery, chicken, mushroom… whatever.
- Canned tomatoes
- Powdered Milk
You can bring your donations to the Youth Center on Sunday, starting at 11am.
