Our excellent staff and leaders at Bay Shore Community Congregational Church (UCC) in Long Beach, California are here to assist you on your spiritual journey and help you get the resources and information you need to make a positive difference in the world.


Our pastors, The Rev. Dr. David Clark and The Rev. Susie Bjork are highly acclaimed spiritual leaders in the Long Beach community and in the United Church of Christ. They lead our staff and are available to help you find what you are looking for. They provide spiritual care and comfort for any who are in need.

Music Ministries

Our music staff led by Julie Ramsey provide inspirational music that is absolutely sublime and will keep you inspired throughout the week. We are blessed with vocal soloists for each of the sections of our chancel choir. Jason McNally is an amazing organist and pianist. His postludes at the conclusion of each service will help you feel the presence of God in your life. See more for our music ministries.

Office Staff for Support and Inquiries

Our office manager, Heather Nelson, is always there to greet you with a warm smile and help you with whatever you need from the front office. Our bookkeeper, treasurer and financial secretary providing oversight and transparency for all our financial transactions.

Nursery & Sunday School

Our nursery staff is led by Felicity Miller. She has been our nursery supervisor for more than 30 years. She creates a safe and positive experience for each of our little ones and she’s eager to connect with parents to provide the finest care possible for your child.

Melissa Carey is our dynamic Sunday School teacher who brings energy, enthusiasm, and a passion for education to her work as she shares the good news of God’s love with the children of our church.
